An afternoon of learning and liberation

We are kicking off our 2026 events with a mini-conference: four different presentations that will surely help you face 2026 with greater digital sovereignty, security, and freedom.

From 17:30, we will be talking about:  - Secure and easy passwords for everyone. Presented by Ivan GJ, we will see that it is not at all difficult to have a different password for every site without having to remember them all... and it is much easier than it looks! 🔒 - Free audiovisual tools: escaping Adobe. Presented by Guillem Carbonell (lead of the LliureJam project), we will review the options for artistic creation and design tools that do not shackle your creativity to a restrictive licence, but instead let you fly with full freedom. 🐦‍🔥 - OpenStreetMap: a map for everyone. Jorge Sanz, from Geoinquietos VLC and OSGeo, brings us an introduction to the wonderful world of free maps from OpenStreetMap—the world's true map, because we build it together, and yes, you can contribute too. 🗺️ - Introduction to Digital Privacy. Finally, Mansioni brings us a vital presentation on protecting our personal and private information from the clutches of Big Tech, which seeks to exploit every bit of information you leave in your trail across the web. 🫆

This year, just as throughout 2025, we continue our commitment to "liberating" machines thanks to available free software tools.

From 17:00, you can come along to:

• Install GNU/Linux on your computer. 🔧 (Important: you must make a backup first 💾)
• Learn how to block adverts on your mobile. 🛡️
• Discover and install free applications, learn about their advantages, and remove those you no longer want. 🔄
• Discover social networks and free, federated media outlets. 🌐
• Resolve doubts, problems, or needs regarding your GNU/Linux system. 🐧

Mind you, please keep in mind that you won't be able to attend the talks and liberate your machine at the same time, so choose wisely.
