Mindtrek Conference is an international technology conference organized annually in the beautiful city of Tampere, Finland that offers a horizontal view into the field of future technology. It’s all about networking and exchanging ideas with people who come from different backgrounds and who have different areas of expertise.

We are pleased to announce that the next Mindtrek Conference will take place on Tuesday 6th of October 2026 in Finnkino Cine Atlas (Koskikeskus) in Tampere, Finland.

What's in store for 2026?

The main theme for the 2026 Mindtrek Conference will be ”OpenTech: Building Europe’s Digital Sovereignty.”

As Europe awakens to the strategic importance of digital sovereignty, the shift toward European and open source solutions is accelerating across the public and private sectors.

Mindtrek Conference 2026 brings together business leaders, public sector professionals, developers, researchers, startup founders, students, and open source enthusiasts to turn this momentum into action – showcasing the essential role of open source, sharing concrete steps and practical frameworks, and presenting real-world case studies of how organisations are already advancing their transition toward more open, resilient, and sovereign digital solutions.

The 2026 programme will once again feature multiple themed tracks running simultaneously throughout the day. You can either follow one track from start to finish or build your own experience by choosing the topics and talks that interest you most.

We’re also happy to announce that Mindtrek Conference program will be open to all regular visitors free of charge, but pre-registration is required to secure your spot at the annual conference.
