OpenFest 2026 – Let's Share the Freedom!

OpenFest is Bulgaria's largest annual conference dedicated to free and open-source software, open technologies, free culture, and knowledge sharing. First held in 2003, the event brings together developers, system administrators, open-source contributors, digital rights advocates, and technology enthusiasts from Bulgaria and beyond.

OpenFest 2026 takes place on 7–8 November 2026 at the Interpred World Trade Center in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The two-day event features technical talks, community discussions, practical workshops, and opportunities to discover open-source projects and connect with the people behind them. Topics span Linux, system administration, software development, security, digital sovereignty, and the wider free software ecosystem.

This year's theme, "TBD - To Be Decided," invites participants to explore the future of technology, society, and digital freedom through open discussion and collaboration.

Organized by the Open Projects Foundation and supported by Bulgaria's open-source community, OpenFest celebrates the spirit of openness, collaboration, and shared knowledge.
